PRIDE CALENDAR OF EVENTS

There are many, many PRIDE events around the globe for you to enjoy and experience. Here is a list of the major events for the year, so you and start your PRIDE travel planning.

JANUARY

Midsumma Festival 2023, Melbourne, Australia | January 21st

Australia’s premier LGBTQIA+ arts and cultural experience returns with over 200 events showcasing queer culture, featuring local, interstate, and international artists in spectacular performances.

FEBRUARY

Midsumma Pride March, Melbourne, Australia | February 5th

Paint on those stripes, fluff up your feathers and douse yourself in glitter to march through St Kilda in Melbourne’s iconic parade of rainbows and pride.

Cape Town Gay Pride, Cape Town | February 9th – March 5th

Spanning ten days in late February/early March, Gay Pride Cape Town celebrates cultural diversity and creates awareness for LGBTQ issues in South Africa and beyond. Along with the annual Pride Parade, Gay Pride Cape Town hosts a series of different events, spanning from drag shows, poetry readings, queer cinema, and the popular Mr and Miss Cape Town Pride Pageant.

Cathedral City LGBT Days | March 3rd – 5th

As California’s 1st Pride of the year, the Cathedral City LGBT Days brings together numerous LGBT celebrities, artists, media, community leaders visitors and residents for an unforgettable weekend of entertainment and experiences!

Wellington Pride Festival, New Zealand | March 4th – 18th

Wellington Pride Festival is a celebration of their rainbow community in Te Upoko o te Ika a Māui. The Festival is inspired by Wellington’s rich history of queer fairs and festivals.

Pride Cape Coral, Cape Coral, Florida | March 4th

PRIDE Parade, Tutu Drag Race, Live Entertainment on the BIG Stage, Street Performers, Carnival Games, Food Trucks, Vendor Village, and Sunday Drag Brunch in the Street!

Christchurch Pride, New Zealand | March 10th – 19th

Christchurch Pride, like Otautahi itself, is growing stronger and stronger. Their key aims are to make it a family celebration and inclusive for all, celebrate with pride and visibility, and bring together the diverse groups within the LGBTQIA+ community.

Tampa Pride, Tampa, Florida | March 25th

Tampa Pride 2023 will be bigger than ever. Tampa Pride is a celebration of all the obstacles the LGBT community has overcome throughout history.

APRIL

Jasper Pride Festival, Alberta, Canada | April 14 – 23

Celebrate being Proud & Free safely with some of the best this season offers. Jasper Pride festival has been adapted to offer more private versions of your favorite activities in a pristine mountain wonderland.

Miami Beach Gay Pride, Miami Beach, Florida | April 1 – 16

The legendary festival weekend will take place along the sands of Lummus Park in South Beach, as well as a parade along Ocean Drive in the city’s Art Deco neighborhood on Sunday morning.

Tokyo Rainbow Pride, Tokyo, Japan | April 20 – 23

Every year, Yoyogi Park transforms for one week into a rainbow of colors as diversified as the people it represents.

MAY

Gay Pride Maspalomas, Maspalomas, Gran Canaria | May 4 – 14

The Maspalomas Gay Pride 10-day festival gets bigger and better every year; drawing tens of thousands of visitors from across Europe and beyond to celebrate with the LGBT community in Playa del Ingles on Gran Canaria island.

Puerto Vallarta Pride, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico | May 23 – 28

Puerto Vallarta Gay Pride first started in 2011 and it’s the largest LGBTQ Pride event in the region.

Torremolinos Gay Pride, Torremolinos, Spain |May 28 – June 4

Torremolinos Gay Pride is an multi-day celebration of gay life on the Spanish Costa del Sol. With countless exhibitions, parties, concerts, and more, the festival attracts tens of thousands of participants each year, leaving Torremolinos as one of Europe’s leading gay-friendly tourist destinations.

JUNE

Vienna Gay Pride, Vienna, Austria | June 1 – 18

This year’s Vienna Pride typically takes place in June. There will be a Pride Village at City Hall Square offering a mix of culture, shows, food, and more. Vienna Pride is the highlight of the Rainbow Parade on Saturday.

Pittsburgh Pride, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | June 2 – 4

Pittsburgh Pride 2023 will be the first Pride in Pittsburgh thrown in collaboration between LGBTQ+ organizations across Pittsburgh and the Western Pennsylvania region.

WeHo Pride, West Hollywood, California | June 2 – 4

This West Hollywood Pride weekend features a free Street Fair, the WeHo Pride Parade, the annual Dyke March, the Women’s Freedom Festival, and the OUTLOUD Music Festival.

Provincetown Pride, Provincetown, Massachusetts | June 3 – 4

The third annual Pride celebration highlights what Provincetown has always been known for LGBTQ+ awareness, empowerment, and diversity.

Annapolis Pride Parade & Festival, Annapolis |  June 4

Now in its second year, welcoming and embracing diversity while bringing together locals and business communities.

Middletown Pride, Middletown, Connecticut | June 4

Middletown Pride has planned two socially distant Middletown Pride Showcases which will feature drag queens, show choirs, dancers, and other special guests.

Capital Pride, Washington D.C. | June 2 – 11

The Capital Pride Concert is returning for a great way to cap off your celebration weekend. You will also experience entertainment on three stages, from international headliners to our best local and regional LGBTQ+ talent.

Key West Pride, Key West, Florida | June 7 – 1

Celebrate pride on a tropical island that is legendary for its laid-back style and its open and accepting atmosphere.

LA Pride, Los Angeles, California | June 9 – 11

LA Pride, also known as the LA Pride Festival and Parade, is an annual LGBTQ+ pride event that takes place in LA State Historic Park.

Munich Gay Pride, Munich, Germany | Jun 10 – 25

Munich Pride is the largest event of the LGBT community in southern Germany, more than 60 events are usually held within the PrideWeek.

West Pride Gothenburg, Gothenburg, Sweden | June 13 – 18

Each year the West Pride festival is held in Gothenburg. An art and culture festival that creates safe spaces for LGBTQI people and emphasizes norm-criticism and LGBTQI person’s lives.

Sao Paulo Gay Pride, São Paulo, Brazil | June 15 – 18

Sao Paulo Gay Pride is listed by Guinness World Records as the biggest pride parade in the world in 2006 with 2.5 million people. They broke the Guinness record in 2009 with four million attendees.

Tri-State Black Pride, Memphis, Tennessee | June 16 – 18

Tri-State Black Pride’s mission showcases unity and pride by promoting equality, human rights, education, outreach, arts, and culture of the Memphis and Mid-South LGBTQ community and allies.

Zurich Pride Festival, Zürich, Switzerland | June 17 – 18

Every June, the festival site on the Sechseläutenplatz and next to Bürkliplatz is transformed into a party hotspot. The parade and concerts are the highlights of the Zurich Pride Festival.

Stonewall Columbus Pride, Columbus, Ohio | June 17 – 18

Stonewall’s annual Pride Festival and March welcomes over 700,000 visitors to Columbus and the Central Ohio region.

Iowa City Pride, Iowa City, Iowa | June 18

The Iowa City Pride Festival returns with the Pride Parade, the vendors in the Ped Mall, a fun-filled day of entertainment on the Linn Street Stage, and more.

Chicago Pride Fest, Chicago, Illinois | June 18 – 19

The Chicago Pride Fest® is an iconic street festival that features live music, drag shows, games, parade, and more. It is a celebration of diversity and the LGBTQ+ community on Halsted Street.

Oslo Pride, Oslo, Norway | June 23 – July 1

Oslo Pride is Norway’s largest festival for the LGBTIQ population, offering a varied program with concerts, art exhibits, shows, film screenings, parties, and political debates.

Cologne Gay Pride, Cologne, Germany | June 18 – July 3

Cologne Gay Pride is the biggest LGBTQ demonstration in Germany and one of Europe’s largest. The two highlights of Cologne Gay Pride are the CSD Street Festival and the Pride Parade.

Lisbon Gay Pride, Lisbon, Portugal | June 17

The Lisbon Gay Pride is one of the largest LGBT events in Portugal. It takes place in June each year at Jardim do Principe Real. Lisbon Pride 2022 is expected to attract over 70,000 people.

Pride Toronto, Toronto, Canada | June 24 – 25

Gay Pride Toronto is one of Canada’s premier arts and cultural festivals and one of the largest parades of its kind in North America.

Raleigh Pride, Raleigh, North Carolina | June 25

Raleigh Pride is now in its 12th year and has changed its name to Out Raleigh Pride.

Mexico City Gay Pride, Mexico City, Mexico | June 24 – 25

Marcha del Orgullo de la Ciudad de Mexico is one of the wildest and largest gay pride events in Latin America. Over one million people join the streets to celebrate the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community.

San Francisco Pride, San Francisco, California | June 24 – 25

This year’s theme, “Love Will Keep Us Together,” is meant to celebrate a sense of return and shared presence.

Tulsa Pride, Tulsa, Oklahoma | June 24 – 25

Tulsa Pride is the longest-running LGBT Pride festival in Oklahoma. This 2022, Tulsa Pride celebrates its 40 years with a whole weekend of pride, with the Tulsa Pride Parade, Tulsa Pride Celebration, and Picnic in the Park. 

Nashville Pride, Nashville, Tennessee | June 24 – 25

Nashville Pride Festival is the largest LGBTQ event in Tennessee. The festival will move to Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in downtown Nashville in 2022. 

Oklahoma City Pride, Oklahoma | June 24 – 25

Each year, thousands make their way to Oklahoma City for an annual celebration of OKC’s LGBTQ+ community. The OKC Pride Week calendar is packed with exciting and artistic events, like OKC Pride Fest and Pride on 39th.

Madrid Gay Pride, Madrid, Spain | June 23 – July 2

Madrid Pride, also known as Orgullo Gay Madrid, is the biggest gay pride in Spain and one of the biggest in Europe, attracting more than 2 million people over the five days of pride.

Budapest Gay Pride, Budapest, Hungary | June 25 – July 25

Month-long Budapest Pride Festival.

Denver PrideFest, Denver, Colorado | June 24 – 25

The 2022 Denver PrideFest promotes the heritage and culture of the LGBTQ+ community of Colorado. It typically draws more than 450,000 attendees over two days, making it the largest Pride event in the Rocky Mountain Region.

Seattle Gay Pride, Seattle, Washington | June 24 – 25

Seattle Pride is one of the oldest of its kind in the country and has been coloring the city streets each summer since 1974.

Twin Cities Pride, Minneapolis, Minnesota | June 24 – 25

The Twin Cities Pride brings the greater LGBT community together to educate and create awareness of issues and to celebrate achievements.

Helsinki Gay Pride, Helsinki, Finland | June 26 – July 2

Helsinki Pride is the biggest LGBTQ event in Finland and also the largest cultural event focusing on human rights in the country. Helsinki Pride highlights and rejoices everyone’s right to openly be as they are.

JULY

London Gay Pride, London, England | July 1

Gay Pride London attracts one of the most diverse crowds in Europe and provides a platform for every part of London’s LGBTQ community to raise awareness.

San Diego Pride, San Diego, California | July 8 – 16

San Diego Pride takes place in mid-July with a series of events leading up to a colorful main pride parade. Other highlights include the Hillcrest Block Party and the Pride Festival.

Bristol Pride, Bristol, United Kingdom | July 8 – 22

Pride Day starts with the Pride Parade then a massive outdoor multi-stage festival with music and performances, community and family areas, silent disco, bars, food, markets, and lots more.

Barcelona Gay Pride, Barcelona, Spain | July 14 – 15

PRIDE Barcelona is an event for everyone, a space where the LGBT community can be collectively heard and become visible, and a place to celebrate and make a stand.

Frankfurt Pride, Frankfurt, Germany | July 14 – 16

Frankfurt Gay Pride is always a fun weekend and a colorful parade with around 40 poses. The main stage is located on the Old Town Square and is also the location of the gay village for the 3 days of pride.

Berlin Pride, Berlin, Germany | July 22

Gay Pride Berlin offers one of the most clectic pride celebrations in Europe. It is one of the biggest gay Prides in Europe, with hundreds of thousands participants each year.

Stuttgart Gay Pride, Stuttgart, Germany | July 29 – 30

Stuttgart Gay Pride may be one of the strongest political prides in Germany, but it’s also a colorful affair, combining the messages with a festive atmosphere.

Amsterdam Gay Pride, Amsterdam, the Netherlands | July 29 – August 6

Amsterdam Gay Pride takes place from the end of July to the first week of August, with all major events taking place the last weekend, including a spectacular Pride parade on the canals of the city.

AUGUST

Stockholm Gay Pride, Stockholm, Sweden | August 1 – 6

Stockholm Pride is one of Stockholm’s largest annual festivals, as well as the largest Pride celebration in Scandinavia. It is a big, happy colorful event that attracts LGBT visitors from around the world.

Long Beach Pride, Long Beach, California | August 4 – 6

Long Beach Pride is the third-largest Pride festival and parade in California. Teen Pride is August 4, the festival is August 5 and 6, 11am to 10pm, Marina Green Park; and the parade is August 6, 2023 at 10:30am on Ocean Blvd from Lindero to Alamitos.

Prague Gay Pride, Prague, Czech Republic | August 7 – 13

The Prague Pride festival takes place every year in August, all the way since 2011. Nowadays it is one of the biggest cultural events in the Czech Republic.

Montreal Pride, Montreal, Canada | August 3 – 13

Every August, Montreal Gay Pride takes over the streets of the gay village for 10 days in a series of concerts, parades, exhibitions, and demonstrations. Events centered mostly in Parc Emilie-Gamelin.

Antwerp Gay Pride, Antwerp, Belgium | August 9 – 13

Antwerp Gay Pride with the Parade on Saturday, followed by the free, open-air WAVE street festival, dance parties, and many more LGBT events and activities.

Gay Pride Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark | August 12 – 20

Copenhagen Gay Pride is Denmark’s largest human rights and LGBTQ festival. The popular event features a huge pride parade on the last Saturday, finishing off with a big show and party at night.

Manchester Gay Pride, Manchester, England | August 25 – 28

Manchester Pride Festival is one of the world’s leading celebrations of LGBTQ+ life. It is a four-day celebration, culminating in a weekend of campaigning, celebrating, and fundraising over the August bank holiday.

SEPTEMBER

Malta Pride, Valetta, Malta | September 7 – 17

This annual gay festival on Malta island features street parties, LGBT floats, parades, concerts, and fun-filled activities. Another highlight of this festival is the after-Pride dance party, featuring top local & international DJs and performers.

Riverside Pride, Riverside, California | September 10

Riverside’s FREE LGBTQIA+ Pride festival returns and will be at the Riverside Convention Center.

OCTOBER

Banff Pride, Banff, Alberta, Canada | October 6 – 15

Celebrate love and diversity in a colorful week at Banff Pride. Mix your mountain adventures with the Drag Brunches, Queer-lesque performances, parties, and concerts.

Las Vegas Pride, Las Vegas, Nevada | October 6 – 7

The Las Vegas PRIDE celebration is expected to return with the PRIDE Parade in downtown Las Vegas.

Phoenix Pride, Phoenix, Arizona | October 20 – 22

Phoenix Pride Festival will continue to be a two-day celebration designed to bring our diverse LGBTQ+ and allied communities together for a weekend of camaraderie.

NOVEMBER

Greater Palm Springs Pride, Palm Springs, California | November 3 – 5

Palm Springs Pride is a unique pride festival and the largest LGBTQ gathering in the Coachella Valley. The festival includes a big parade, music stages, DJs, food vendors, and plenty of other entertainment options catering to all tastes.

Maspalomas Winter Pride, Maspalomas, Gran Canaria | November 6 – 12

Winter Pride Maspalomas is the final gay pride celebration in the calendar year.
