Something for everyone and every style in Gay Los Angeles… twinks to leather daddies and everything in between. In WeHo, the most visible clubs cater to a young and good-looking crowd. All the bars are generally within walking distance along Santa Monica Blvd., most concentrated between Robertson Boulevard and La Cienega Blvd. Silverlake was once the exclusive domain of Levi/leather cruisers and Latinos, but now it attracts cute, young hipsters looking for an alternative to the West Hollywood scene. Hollywood and Downtown has its own current surge of attractive venues. Long Beach has many fun neighborhood bars.
Be sure to check the daily calendar for current happenings. All visitors, regardless of age, should carry photo ID, as you won’t get into a bar without it, and be prepared to pay a nominal cover charge. California bars and clubs, like restaurants, prohibit smoking indoors, though it’s OK on outdoor patios and sidewalks.
